Last Wednesday was the last class of my 6 week silks workshop at The Art of Fitness in Astoria. A very nice husband of one of the students took pictures for us. My split rollup is looking better. What's really better is that when I lose the footlock, I can fix it myself without touching the floor. Sassletic & I had a few hula hooping contests with a little boy while I was doing guerrilla performance art during the Brewer's PicNYC on Governor's Island.

Saturday, I took my friend Y. to silks class in Astoria. She did really well, especially since it was her first time and she's trying to get back in shape after giving birth to my beautiful godson 10 months ago. We joke that her celebrity baby weight loss plan is just to give the weight to the baby. It's a plan that's working, as he's 27lbs and improves her upper body strength daily! I was so proud to introduce her to a fun workout, and best of all, I got to have lunch with her afterwards and get some quality time with that baby's admirable amounts of chub. Seriously. His chub is so great, I bury my face in his fat little cheeks every chance I get.

So much catchup on sleep during my San Fran vaca. How long will this last??
Thank you vHottie for this challenge, I'd otherwise get no sleep nor nutrients from my lovely box of vitamins.

I bought minimalist-ish shoes while here in San Fran and took them for a test run this morning...... speed training with Coach James C! :) He kicked my butt with drills from his track days.
And then... Thousands catchup. Today's the last day! And still not done. More updates to come...

Double social workout awesome day! Met with Buffin, where he is training my muscles and I am training his vocabulary. My muscles are not sore, they are having a soirée or a rager. Weights are not heavy, they are mild or spicy. I signed up for another pack with Buffin, so by the time I'm done with him, his vocab will be more than SAT-ready.
Then it was off to the Social Workout meetup at Yoga in Bryant Park. What lovely evening - breezes, curious onlookers, majestic buildings, and hundreds of strangers saluting the setting sun. I could have stayed in savasana forever, watching the blue and gold sky. We geeked out about exercise and the internet over post-yoga drinks (it's all about balance). I think people who exercise must be some of the nicest people around.
