First aerial silks after I had the flu. I was gangbusters-like I hadn't even been sick. Bam!
Aerial silks. Ran my routine. Sweated a lot.
Friday was absolutely nuts. It was my last aerial silks class before heading out of town. That's a little nerve wracking, since I have a recital two weeks after I return. Gulp. Worked on my routine, and then practiced a new trick. I call it the low rider, because by the time I made it into the final pose, I'd slid to the ground. After class, I helped Sassletic set up her big 30th birthday party/fundraiser. I was supposed to host the VIPS in the champagne lounge, but when the party started, I was still in my workout clothes bossing people around. I snuck out the back door of the club, ran home, threw on diamonds and a party dress, and entered through the front door as if I'd meant to arrive fashionably late the whole time. The party was a smashing success, with guest appearances by quite a few So-Wo'ers. Afterwards, I had a nightcap across the street with CJ and SW ex-pats Katie B. and Sandyliz. Cuba Gooding Jr was seated behind us, and as we are old acquaintances, I reintroduced myself. I can't tell you what happened next, but it was an unforgettable experience. A big shoutout to Christine N., who took some amazing pictures at Sassletic's party.
Hi there! I'm out of town all week, helping my little sister with her wedding, which is on Friday. I think I have a zillion catch up posts from March. Anyway, Buffin and I did a big ol' circuit on Thursday, my last session before I headed out of town. He made me do a lot of walking lunges. I said since I was preparing for a wedding, it was only fair that he precede me with rose petals. Yes, I got my trainer to pretend to throw rose petals in front of me while I did walking lunges around the gym. Also, the 35lb weights were in use when we were doing squats, so I said I would try the 40lb dumbbells. After I finishes, Buffin said, "...and that is what is called 'dominating.'"
Big smooches to all of you xo
Bikram yoga
home with a sick child yesterday and didn't get a workout in. Couldn't sit still today, so I strapped on my roller blades and rode around the driveway for an hour or so. Also went on a nature hunt with the girls and explored a new neighborhood. Not heart pumping, but still moving!! Bye-bye March...it's been fun!
Did 25 minutes of cardio and 10 minutes of abs. Needed to rest a little today... huffing and puffing! Happy Saturday!

3.5mi run this morning. Not a bad run to close out the month.
Just yoga today.
